Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as your email address, preferred first name, last name, country, password authentication data handled by our authentication provider, and account settings. We may also collect app activity including wines added to your collection, ratings, notes, wine details, source links, uploaded label images, edits, badge activity, login and page activity, approximate location derived from network information where available, device/browser information, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

Cookies and Local Storage

Wine Notebook may use cookies, session storage, local storage, and similar technologies for login sessions, security, remembering app preferences, keeping the app working, and measuring or improving the service. If we use cookies or similar technologies that require consent under applicable law, we will request that consent where required.

How We Use Information

We may use information to provide the app, save your collection, process label images, improve wine data, personalize the experience, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, advertise or promote Wine Notebook, and develop new features. We reserve the right to use aggregated, de-identified, or legally permitted user information, ratings, wine details, and related activity for advertising, analytics, business development, and sale or sharing with third parties, subject to applicable law.

Uploaded Content and Ownership

By uploading images, submitting wine details, making edits, adding notes, or contributing other content, you grant Wine Notebook and Skyland Creative the right to store, use, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, commercialize, and create derivative works from that content. To the fullest extent allowed by law, uploaded images, edits, wine data contributions, and related submissions become the property of the app owner, Skyland Creative. Where applicable law limits this transfer or requires additional rights, consents, notices, or exceptions, applicable law controls.

Sharing Information

We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, legal or security partners when necessary, business partners, advertisers, analytics providers, prospective buyers or successors, and third parties where permitted by law. If a law requires us to avoid sharing, obtain consent, offer an opt-out, or honor another privacy right, we will follow that law over this policy.

When enabled, we mark your account so future analytics exports, advertising uses, or third-party reports can filter your data where that preference applies. Some operational, security, legal, or already-permitted uses may still occur as allowed or required by law.

Your Rights
